After her first book, La Dérobade in 1976, the French woman writer Jeanne Cordelier has published 14 books in French. The latest one, Les aventures de H, sans manches, was published in 2006. Until 2006, La Dérobade was the only book so far translated into English (by Harry Mathews). It was published as "The Life" and is only available second-hand. The new English language book is "Hanoi Blues" that was published in November 2006.

Hanoi Blues takes place in Vietnam. It was published in French in October, 2000 and republished in 2005. The translation of Hanoi Blues is now available on-line. Her first collection of short-stories was published in French in September, 2001, Descendre a Bonne Nouvelle (in French only). Her latest novel taking place in a French setting was published in French in March 2003, L'Instruit.
