One way of measuring the importance of the books of Jeanne Cordelier is to study their impact on the total expression of the French language, i.e. the dictionaries.
Jeanne Cordelier, who never travels without at least one dictionary, explains her need the following way: "At my parents' place, there was only one book. It was a dictionary. A Petit Larousse, with its marvellous slogan: 'I sow for all winds' and the image illustrating dandelion petals blowing in the wind. My father used it to hit us on the head, my brothers and sister and me. 'So it enters!' he said, without precising exactly what. I must have taken his words by the letter".

Jeanne Cordelier was the advisor for the selection of French author for Interculture. She introduced, among other, Julien Bigras (Canada), Raymond Guérin, Paul Guimard, Roch Carrier (Canada), Denis Belloc, Eugène Pottier, Emmanuel Roblès and Marie N'Diaye to Swedish readers. Interculture also published authors like Federico Garcia Lorca, Ernst Jünger, Ken Kesey and Albert Cohen.
